Hallsville Mayor Terminates Police Chief, Two Others

POSTED: 4:34 pm CST December 28, 2011KTBS 3 News has confirmed that the mayor of Hallsville, Texas has terminated the chief of police, as well as two other department employees.According to Jay Webb, Administrative Deputy for the Harrison County Sheriff's Office, Mayor Jerri Medrano terminated Chief Greg Scott, Sergeant Mack Fuller, and patrol officer T.C. Livingston.Webb says Lukas Reynolds is Hallsville's new police chief, and patrol officer Earl Dykes remains on duty as well.Webb added that public safety is still their top priority, and that it will not be affected by the terminations.A specific reason as to why the officers were let go was not given, and Webb says that the matter is being handled internally.
